Demonstration workshops and commentaries on artifacts in the Modern Department, from Louis XIV to Napoleon III, 1643-1870, will take place on Saturday, June 13, as we draw closer to the Battle of Waterloo Bicentenary Celebrations.
We invite you to join us in the Modern Department to attend demonstration workshops (copies) and listen to commentaries on a selection of artifacts.
Come and meet the members of the APPHM (the Association for the Promotion of Heritage and Military History). Plunge yourself into the heart of the Cavalry and Infantry of the First and Second Empires, as you learn how to handle a Cuirassier or a Horse Grenadier of the Imperial Guard sabre, a cartridge box with ammunitions of the Imperial Guard Infantry of the First Empire and kepis of the Second Empire. Elongated textile material samples will be presented in great detail as well as many other artifacts.
Free admission upon presentation of the museum ticket.
