The modello of “The Apotheosis of Saint Louis” on display in the Versailles Museum

The sketch “The Apotheosis of Saint Louis” for the decor of the interior of the dome painted by Charles de la Fosse was transferred from the Historical Office of the Hotel des Invalides to be presented in the exhibition Charles de La Fosse (1636-1716), le triomphe de la couleur organized by the Chateau de Versailles till 24 May, 2015.

It is a unique and exceptional opportunity to admire this masterpiece which the general public rarely has a chance to see and take advantage to discover the live of a great artist who lived during the reign of Louis XIV.
