Francis Huster at the Invalides for the 2013 Edition of Open Air Opera

The 13th edition of Open Air Opera (Outdoors Opera) brings “The Magic Flute” to Les Invalides. One of Mozart’s most beloved opera will be staged by Francis Huster and Steve Suissa who took the time to visit the Dome Church. Major General Christian Baptiste, director of the musée de l’Armée was also pleased to welcome Benjamin Patou, producer of the Open air Opera.

Major General Baptiste, Francis Huster and Benjamin Patou can been seen standing in the roof lantern of the Dome Church, an openwork construction that peaks some 100 meters above ground level (pictured above) and looking at Charles de la Fosse’s allegorical mural paintings in the cupola of the Church (see picture in margin).
