Demonstration workshops and commentaries on artefacts in the Modern Department, from Louis XIV to Napoleon III, 1643-1870, Saturday, December 12.
Come and meet the members of the APPHM (the Association for the Promotion of Heritage and Military History). Plunge yourself into the heart of the Cavalry and Infantry of the First and Second Empires, as you learn how to handle a Cuirassier or a Horse Grenadier of the Imperial Guard sabre, a cartridge box with ammunitions of the Imperial Guard Infantry of the First Empire and kepis of the Second Empire. Elongated textile material samples will be presented in great detail as well as many other artefacts.
