Follow the footsteps of François de Bonne, Duke of Lesdiguières. A new story telling guided tour of the Arms and Armour Department – For children (7-12 years).
This new story telling guided tour takes place during the French Wars of Religion as it relates the eventful life of François de Bonne who took up arm for the cunning protestant Henry of Navarre (the future Henry IV) with whom he fought against a bitter and committed opponent: the terrible Duke Henry of Guise, leader of the Catholic League of France.
It will be a great opportunity for the children to discover the collections of the Arms and Armour Department as they listen to the story of the tumultuous life of this exceptional soldier who was born under the reign of king Francis I of France and died under king Louis XIII at 83 years of age, a record at the time.
