Take advantage of the Halloween holidays for you and your family to discover the permanent collections of the musée de l’Armée during workshops or games and inquiries. Little ones and grown-ups are welcome.
- Monday, October 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm. “Following the footsteps of Napoleon” Games and inquiries for children (7-12 years).
Under the supervision of a Role Master, the children will investigate the many faces of Napoleon through his personal belongings, portraits along with objects from his closest soldiers. They will also go back over the milestones marking the Napoleonic epic, starting with the Emperor Napoleon’s coronation to the construction of his Tomb in the Dome Church.
- Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 2:00 pm. “Get out your Handkerchiefs” Special temporary exhibition Tour for children (7-12 years).
In this tour, children will be able to discover games, riddles and enigmas and learn all there is to know on handkerchiefs and objects that served as inspiration for their design.
- Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm. “Bless you! Design your own handkerchief ” Special temporary exhibition Workshop for children (7-12 years).
After a quick tour of the exhibition, the fabrication and use of handkerchiefs won’t hold any secret to the children. Finding their inspiration in the representations and themes seen in the exhibition, they will in turn design their own handkerchief.
- Friday, November 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm. “The Coats of arms, and emblems Workshop” for children (6-12 years).
The children start with a tour featuring the coats of arms and the emblems on display in the Ancient Arms and Armour permanent exhibition, then finding their inspiration in the artefacts seen during the tour they will design their own coat of arms and emblem.
