The new King Louis XIV Medallion – Musée de l’Armée / Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint)

The musée de l’Armée has augmented its Medallion Collection with this new medallion struck in honour of king Louis XIV, the illustrious founder of the Hôtel national des Invalides.

This new medallion representing the Sun King – the third leading historical figure of the Invalides and the musée de l’Armée -completes the museum’s Medallion Collection which also features Napoleon I and General de Gaulle.
This medallion is on sale at the price of 2 euros in the Dome Church of the Invalides (Napoleon’s Tomb).
